Martha Lance

Asheville - Martha Lee Murray Lance, 87, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Mission Memorial Campus.

Martha was a native of Flint, Michigan and was a daughter of the late Lebo and Gladys Stamey Murray.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Rondell “Bud” Lance, who died in 2016; one sister, Phyllis Ensley; and one brother, Ben Murray.  Martha enjoyed reading, word search, attending camp meetings, and cooking.

She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Easton (Mark) of Canton; two sons, Rondell Lance, Jr. of Asheville and Donnie Lance of Candler; and two sisters, Bobbie Jane Whitted of Asheville and Jackie Lance of Candler; one brother, Bruce Murray of Harrisburg, Virginia; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Center Pigeon Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Karl Zielkie and Reverend Brent Cochran officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Wells Funeral Home in Canton.
