Martha Mccracken

"1927 - 2016" Candler – Martha McCracken, 88, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016 at John F. Keever Solace Center in Asheville. A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Lee and Lisa Peebles Morgan. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas B. McCracken, who died in 2011; eight brothers and sisters; and an infant son. Martha retired from American Enka Corporation with 40 years of service and was a member of Good News Baptist Church. She is survived by three step-children and their spouses; eight step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Dennis Thurman officiating.
