Martha E. Reichard, 85, of Candler, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012.
She was a daughter of the late Roy Isaac and Elizabeth Stephens Vandervort. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Forrest I. Reichard and her daughters; Diane Kathleen Fry and Anna Marie Dilts.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Sharon Jacob of Candler; six grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 18, 2012 in the Chapel of Faith at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 am. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler. A reception will be held for family and friends from 1:00PM until 6:00pm at 29 Ironwood Court, Candler, NC 28715.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Council on Aging of Buncombe County, 46 Sheffield Circle, Asheville, NC 28803.
