Martha "Bonnie" Burris

Waynesville, Martha "Bonnie" Eloise Creasman Burris, 88, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Haywood County she was a daughter of the late Crawford Daniel and Letha Texanna Creasman.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, of 66 years, Landon George Burris, died in 2014; five brothers, Olas, Hubert, Gerald, Bill and Earl Creasman; four sisters, Edith Cagle, Geneva Brooks, Kathleen Patterson and Mary Sue Hyatt.  Bonnie was a member of Allens Creek Baptist Church and retired from Dayco corporation with close to 40 years of faithful service.  She had fourteen siblings, nine sisters and five brothers.  Bonnie took care of her mother for many years.  She loved her family, was a hard worker, and enjoyed every minute she got to spend with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by two daughters, Lynn Roberts (Gary), of Morganton and Beth Mills (Tim), of Powdersville, South Carolina; five sisters, Dot Barnette, Betty Justice, Ruth Gunter, Wilma Thompson and Janice Hadlock; five grandchildren, Misty Roberts, Laura (Brian) Ballard, Maggie (Jeff) Powell, Isaac Mills (Sierra Oakes) and Samuel Mills; four great-grandchildren, Haven and Bo Ballard, Carolina and Ellie Powell.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm. on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Allens Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Scotty Patrick officiating.  Burial will follow at Green Hill cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 until service time at the church.
