Marty Lindsey

Clyde, Marty Blaine Lindsey, age 38, went to his eternal resting place August 28, 2008. He was the son of Talmeta Cooper Lindsey of Waynesville and John Carrol Lindsey and step-mother, Priscilla Lindsey of Lake City, FL. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Edna Wyatt Lindsey; and maternal grandparents, James and Bonnie Jones Cooper. Marty was employed by Lowe's of Waynesville for seven years, and then was self employed in the construction business. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and unselfish friend. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 19 years, Elisa Colette Owle Lindsey; three daughters, Kendra Owle Toineeta, Alyssia Lindsey and companion, Michael Sorrells and Elizabeth Brooke Lindsey of the home; one granddaughter, Alexis Sorrells who was the apple of his eye; one sister, Kimberly Lindsey Jones and husband, Dwayne, of Waynesville; mother in-law Karen French Browning and husband, Johnny of Cherokee; sister in law, Crystal Owle Lambert and husband, Dewayne "Bear" Lambert of Whittier; brother-in-law Blake French of Cherokee; special cousin, Chris Lindsey and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 1, 2008 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Philip Wyatt and Reverend Steve Eager officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2008 at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Keith and Kevin Gunter, Ronnie Call, Roger Browning, Steve Eager and Terry Frady. His nephews, Aaron Jones, Hunter, Trace and Tay Lambert will serve as honorary pallbearers.
