Marvin Bolin

Waynesville, Marvin Gerald Bolin, age 73, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Maggie Valley Nursing Home and Rehabilitation. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Floyd Marvin and Monica Lillian Cochran Bolin. Gerald previously lived in Newport News, Virginia for 50 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard serving in the Vietnam era. Gerald was an avid outdoorsman and loved deer hunting throughout Virginia. He also enjoyed gardening and sharing his crops with his neighbors far and wide. Most importantly Gerald was a wonderful father and brother. Gerald is survived by his two daughters, Doris Alligood, and her husband, Marty, of Washington, North Carolina and Debbie Wilson, of Whitaker, North Carolina; one son, Chris Bolin, of Waynesville; a sister, Ruth Seay, and her husband, Carl, of Hendersonville; a brother, Clifford Bolin, and his wife, Beatrice, of Waynesville and three grandchildren.
