Mary Britt

Waynesville, Mary Frances Ketner Britt, age 70, died on July 9, 2015 at her residence. A native of Hazelwood, she was the daughter of the late Matt Richardson and Lois Plott Ketner. She was a member of the National Ski Patrol at Cataloochee Ski Area for over 10 years and was the longest standing member of the National Association Trail Riders Conference (NATRC) with over 15, 000 competitive miles recorded and twelve national championship ribbons. She is survived by two step-daughters, Julie Shipman (Michael) and Genell Henningson (Pete); two step-sons, Steve Britt (Teresa) and David Britt (Tracy); three step-grandchildren, Colby, Kyle and Alecia; sister, Judy Leatherwood (Mike); nephew, Shawn (Carol) and niece, Laura Leatherwood. A celebration of Mary's life will be held on 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. A reception will follow the service at the Wells Events & Reception Center.
