Mary Conley

Waynesville, Mary Teresa Forney Conley, age 74, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at her residence. Mary was a native of Haywood County, and was a former resident of Long Beach, CA. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Myrtle Forney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Conley who died August 21, 2002, a daughter Tammy Conley, three brothers, Marvin, Marshall and Thomas C. Forney, Jr.; four sisters, Rozella Martin, Louise Gray, Evelyn and Marquerite Forney. Mary was a homemaker and member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. She is survived by one sister, Esther Gibson and one brother, Richard Forney, both of Waynesville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 26, 2010 at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Reverend Walter Bryson and Reverend Cleveland Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Gibsontown Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. Serving as pallbearers will be Gregory McElroy, Junior, Chris and David Forney, Fred Riley and Anthony Graham. Honorary pallbearers will be Shawn Coleman and Joey Jackson and serving as flower girls will be Cerissa Powell, Helenia Graham, Cassie Miles, Beonica Graham, Mackenzie Moffitt, Tiffanni Hall and Vicki Cecero.
