Mary Crutsinger

Waynesville, Mary Ruth Crutsinger, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2014. A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ada Fowler Chapman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Crutsinger, who died in 2011; as well as one sister and one brother. She is survived by a daughter, Carol Sanford and her husband, Dennis, of Waynesville; a niece, Jackie Hensley of Candler; two grandchildren, Craig Allen Felman and his wife, Cota, and Timothy Wayne Felman, and his wife, Marty; six great-grandchildren Brittany, Jordan, Sara, Anthony, Sammy and Xavier Felman; and one great-great-grandchild, Aubri Felman. Ruth was an active volunteer with the Haywood County Hospice program. When she was not volunteering, she enjoyed playing bridge and golf with her special group of friends at the Waynesville Country Club. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m.on Sunday, September 28, 2014 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Sanford L. Giles, Jr. officiating. A reception will follow at the Wells Events & Reception Center.
