Mary Ensley

Candler-Mary Ellen Bryson Ensley, age 87, formerly of Canton, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late James Tobe and Carrie Nell Smathers Bryson and was the wife of the late Frank W. Ensley.

She retired from Champion International with 34 years of service and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Judy Medford of Canton, one son, Bruce Ensley of Canton, 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2003 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with Reverend Arthur O'Neil officiating. Burial will follow at Morning Star United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen Medford, Dale Medford, Tony Gregg, David Burnette, Jeff Arndt, Kevin Ensley and Kelly Ensley.
