Mary Frazier

Waynesville, Mary Ruby McDaniel Frazier, age 79, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mary Ruby was born and lived most of her life in Haywood County, daughter of the late Charles Jackson and Mary Elizabeth Sutton McDaniel. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Earl "Red" Frazier, who died in 1989 and a daughter, Kathy Turner. Mary Ruby was very active with her late husband in their equestrian business. Mary Ruby is survived by two daughters, Lucinda Ledford and her husband, Andy, of Clyde and Jackee Brown and her husband, Gavin, of Waynesville; a sister, Pat Swanger and her husband, Jack, of Waynesville; three grandchildren, Brian, Laura, and Issac; and two great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Green Hill Cemetery with Reverend Patrick Womack officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the home of Gavin and Jackee Brown, 935 Eagles Nest Road in Waynesville. The family wishes to acknowledge the staff of Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their wonderful and attentive care of Mary Ruby.
