Mary Trull Gregg

Mary Trull Gregg, a beloved homemaker, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2024. She was born on January 6, 1927, in Haywood County, North Carolina.

Mary was a dedicated and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Her proudest accomplishment was her membership in Pisgah Freewill Baptist Church, where she found solace and strength.

Mary's warm and nurturing nature extended beyond her immediate family. She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, McKinley and Esther Henson Trull. In addition to her parents, Mary also endured the loss of her loving husband of 56 years, Luther Gregg; and their beloved daughter Brenda Trull.

Mary is survived by her son Robert Gregg, and his wife Diana, from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Her memory will also be cherished by her one grandson, three granddaughters, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She enjoyed watching NASCAR with her dear friend, Betty Hampton, and spending days with her caregiver, Rosalind Pettay.

Mrs. Gregg's life will be celebrated on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Wells Funeral Home in Canton. A visitation will take place from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Jeremy Cagle officiating.  Burial will follow at New Cruso Cemetery.

The loss of Mary Trull Gregg is deeply felt by all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May her soul find eternal peace as she reunites with her loved ones who have gone before her.
