Mary Hossley

Waynesville, Mary Beam Corban Hossley, age 94, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012. A native of Jefferson County, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Bessie Beam Corban and was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Hossley, who died in 1983; six sisters; and four brothers. She was a secretary for 35 years which included working for First United Methodist Church of Waynesville of which she was a member. Mary loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed needlework, reading, traveling, and the Atlanta Braves. She is survived by one daughter, Cecelia Milner (Mike) of Luxemburg, Wisconsin; one son, Marvin Hossley (Jovita) of Zirconia, North Carolina; one brother, William Corban (Elsie) of Slidell, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Rachel Kirkpatrick, Edward Milner, Matthew, Mark, and Michael Hossley; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2012 at Kings Grove Baptist Church, 3034 Pace Road, Hendersonville. Reverend Phillip Capell and Reverend Shannon Owen will officiate. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park in Waynesville with Reverend Dr. Sanford L. Giles, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Waynesville, P.O.
