Waynesville-Mary Katherine Kile, age 82, went to be with her Lord, on Friday, September 10, 2004. A native of Tampa, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Dubert Snow McFee and Olga Christine Wederbrand McFee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Spencer Kile, who died in December 1981; a son, Jack David Kile; a daughter, Mary Ann Kile; and a brother, Jack Vernon McFee. She was a former resident of Orlando and was a librarian with the Orlando Public Library for over 30 years. She had resided in Haywood County since 1987 and was a member of Canton Presbyterian Church. She is survived by a granddaughter, Susan Michelle Gill; a sister-in-law, Edith J. McFee; a niece, Barbara Lovell; a nephew, Maron Lovell; a great nephew, Thomas M. Taccia; a great niece, Teodora Taccia; a great great niece, Christina Taccia; a great great nephew, Thomas M. Taccia, Jr.; a goddaughter, Catherine Barnett; and godson Eric Altman. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at the Canton Presbyterian Church with Reverend Beverly Brock and Reverend Riley Covan officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the Good Samaritan Clinic of Haywood County, 112 Academy Street, Canton, NC 28716 or Haywood Regional Medical Center Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
