Mary Kinsell

Crabtree, Mary Ellen Keiffer Kinsell, age 64, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 9, 2016 with her husband, Jack by her side. Mary Ellen was a loving wife, and lifelong loyal friend to many. Mary Ellen cared deeply for animals and adopted many stray and homeless pets. A talented caregiver, she was a retired social worker for children, and worked for a time locally at Weight Watchers. Always an advocate for those in need, she volunteered her time at Meals-on-Wheels and The Salvation Army. Mary Ellen was a minimalist mountain woman who lived life to the fullest. Mary Ellen will live on in the memories of her husband Jack, friends and critters. In lieu of flowers a memorial may be made to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 8195, Asheville, NC 28814.
