Mary Kirkpatrick

Waynesville-Mary Leona Harvey Kirkpatrick, age 87, went home to be with the Lord on May 22, 2007. A native and life long resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Ben Albert and Mary Elson Harvey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pless Kirkpatrick, who died in 1995 and eight brothers and sisters. She was employed by Welco Corporation for more than 30 years and was a charter member of Green Valley Baptist Church. She was a hard worker and enjoyed the simple things in life especially working in her garden. She is survived by a sister, Mildred Zimmerman, of Waynesville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2007 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Siegfried and Reverend Lloyd Fish officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Green Valley Baptist Church, 700 Hyatt Creek Road, Waynesville, NC 28786.
