Mary Wright

Canton- Mary Magline Wright - age 86 died Saturday, January 28, 2006 at the home of her daughter in Franklin. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County before moving to live with her daughter in Franklin. She was a daughter of the late Howard and Hester Pressley Putnam and the wife of the late James Herbert Wright who died in 1984. She was also preceded in death by a son, Wayne Wright. Mrs. Wright was a homemaker and attended Maple Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Martha Ray King of Franklin and Rosemary Rodregues of Toledo, Ohio; three sons, Cecil Eugene, Robert and Charles Ray Wright all of Canton; one sister, Nora Benfield of Canton; one brother, Ralph Putnam of Canton; 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2006 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Paul Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on the Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of the son, Cecil Wright, 2831 Beaverdam Road and at Martha King, the daughter's residence, 1297 Lake Emory Road, Franklin.
