Mary Maynor

Mary Ann McNamara Maynor, age 50, died on Thursday, June 2, 2011, at her residence. A native of Bay Shore, Long Island, New York, she was the daughter of the late James J. and Shirley Clark McNamara. Mary will always be remembered for her loving heart, never ending compassion, and infectious laughter. She is survived by her life partner of 21 years, Johnny Williamson of Canton; two daughters, Stephanie of Waynesville and Melissa of Cincinnati, OH; two sisters, Eileen McNamara of Indian Trail, NC and Kathy Strickland and her husband, Don, of Middleburg, FL; two nephews, Andrew and Brian Strickland of Middleburg, FL; best friends, Lisa and Jeff Best, Dean and Donna Smith, Earl and Brenda Rich, and Keith Barker; and four grandchildren. Mary will also be missed by her constant companion, RdogRusty. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2011, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be held 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery in Clyde.
