Mary Mull

Waynesville, Mary Konyn Mull, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Marinette, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Catherine Oudeans Konyn. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" L. Mull, who died on May 4, 2005, four brothers, and two sisters. Mary was a member of the first graduating class of nursing at Haywood Technical Institute and she was employed at Haywood County Hospital as an LPN for 15 years. She was co-owner of Bob's Sport Store for 38 years and a member of St. John's Catholic Church. She will always be remembered for being a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by one daughter, Cathy Hambrick, and two sons, Kenny Mull and his wife, Debbie, and Richard Mull, all of Waynesville; two sisters, Martha Enderby and Gertrude Shehow, both of Marinette, Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Chrystie (Jeremy), Rhonda, Denyse, Kari (Scotty), and Tara; and five great grandchildren, Dustin, Lane, Mige, Cody, and Ezra. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2009 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Father Liam Thomás O'Doherty officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:45 until 3:00 p.m. prior to services.
