Mary Thompson

Mary Evelyn Reno Thompson, age 84, of North Main Street, died Wednesday, February 24, 2009, at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Ervin and Mittie Allison Reno. She was preceded in death by her husband Hubert Thompson, who died in 1961; two sons, James Ervin and Raymond Henry Thompson; and a brother, Henry E. Reno, Jr. She was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church. Mary had a special love for her flowers. She is survived by three sons, Donald Hubert Thompson and his wife, Wilma, Judd Curtis Thompson, and Horace Glenn Thompson all of Canton; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. No services are planned. Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Canton is in charge of arrangements.
