Mary Schlagel

Cary, NC - Mary Katherine Robinson Schlagel, age 85, died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 after a long illness. She was a native of Haywood County and a daughter of the late Paul Ray and Grace O. McCrary Robinson. After graduating from a business college in Washington DC, she began her secretary career by working at Champion International. Mary Katherine later worked at The Mountaineer and Dayco Corporation. She is survived by one daughter, Beth Schlagel Holleman and her husband, Larry, of Cary, NC and one grandson, Hart Holleman of Chapel Hill, NC. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2007 at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with Reverend James Parham officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home in Canton.
