Mary Schrier

Maggie Valley-Mary Sunshine Schrier, age 76, died Friday, October 18, 2002 at her residence.

She was a native of Newbern, Tennessee and had lived in Haywood County for the past 10 years. She was the daughter of the late Herston and Grace Reiley Canada.

She was a member of the Maggie Valley United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Murray Schrier; three daughters, Dorothy Guionnaud and her husband Andre, of Monterey, Tennessee, Nancy Putzin and her husband Conrad, of West Palm Beach, Florida and Linda McClure and her husband Larry, of Canton; one son, Murray Ivan Schrier, of Palm Beach, Florida; one sister, Hope Dunnivant, of Rutherford, Tennessee; two brothers, Joe and Jamie Canada, both of Jackson, Tennessee; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2002 at the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The Reverend David Reeves will officiate. Burial will be at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2002 at the funeral home.
