Mary Sebring

Waynesville, Mary Eleanor Sebring, age 86, of Fitzgerald Lane, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at The Homestead. Mary was a native of Dorchester, Massachusetts, and had resided in Haywood County for the past 18 years. She was the daughter of the late John and Catherine McInnis McKillop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah and Catherine and two brothers, Daniel and Francis McKillop. Mary enjoyed traveling, reading, needle work and genealogy. She was a wonderful Aunt to her nieces and nephews, and attended St. Margaret's of Scotland Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 60 years and 8 months, Alvin Sebring; two sisters, Florence Scott and her husband, Richard, of Maggie Valley, NC and Margaret Clarkson and her husband, Harold R., of Walpole, Massachusetts; one brother, John McKillop and his wife, Fidelis, of Nashua, New Hampshire; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
