Mary Shuler

Canton- Mary Etta Shuler passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late McKinley and Dicie Dills Costner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Costner. She owned and operated Mary's Ceramics. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, William Rex Shuler; two sisters, Lula Faye Metcalf of Leicester and Peggy Youngblood of Fletcher. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2011 in the Chapel of Wells Funeral Home of Canton with the Reverend Larry Sprinkle officiating. Burial will follow in New Cruso Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
