Mary Tierney

Waynesville, Mary Josephine Tierney, age 72, of 131 Ridgewood died Saturday, October 4, 2008 at her residence. She was a native of New York City, NY and had been a resident of Haywood County for the past ten years. Mary was the daughter of the late Daniel and Nora Sullivan Curran. She is survived by her husband of 52 ½ years, Charles Tierney; a daughter, Patricia Bauer of Greensboro; three sons, Kevin Tierney, Daniel Tierney and his wife, Linda, James Tierney and his wife Colleen, all of Long Island, NY and ten grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2008 in the chapel of Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. The family will receive friends two hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
