Mary Watkins

Canton - Mary Watkins, age 79 of 43 Hillside Street died Sunday, November 21, 2004 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Harley and Julie Littrell Fletcher and was the wife of the late Norman A. Watkins. She was also preceded in death by a son Jerry "Sam" Shipman. She was a member of Canton First Baptist Church. She is survived by one son Charles "Ed" Fletcher of Kings Mountain, NC, 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with Reverend Dr. Rick Gosnell officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on Newfound Road. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
