Mary Wells

Mary Lee Jenkins Wells, age 68, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Marion and Ruth Brown Jenkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Earvin Wells, Jr. who died in 2003. She was a member of Rocky Face Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Bryan Wells and his wife, Tammy of Canton and Forrest Wells of Hendersonville; two brothers, Henry Jenkins of Clyde and Lawrence Jenkins of Waynesville and a grandson, Jessie Wells. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2005 at the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with the Reverend Donnie Henson and Reverend James Parham officiating. Burial will follow at Garret-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:15 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Duke Wells, Tony Rathbone, Ross Bennett, Don Scruggs, Harold Sutton and Donnie Noland. Honorary pallbearers will be Jarvis Haney, Jack Brown and Bud Sharpe. Memorials may be made to Rocky Face Baptist Church Building Fund, 1635 Worley Cove, Canton, NC 28716.
