Mary White

Mary Lou Burrell White, age 66, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at MedWest Haywood. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of Brownlow and Betty Towe Burrell of Canton. Mary Lou was a member of Candler Church of God where she was a Sunday school teacher and worked in the ladies ministries. She enjoyed serving her Lord and Savior and will be greatly missed by all. Mary Lou loved gardening and researching family genealogy. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 44 years, Gary Evans White; one daughter, Jennifer White of Waynesville; one son, Jonathan White and his wife, Suzanne, of Canton; three brothers, Gary, Mike, and Ricky Burrell all of Canton; and two grandchildren, Rebecca and Rosalyn White. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Kevin Chapman and Reverend Eugene Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
