Matilda Trantham

Canton - Matilda Morris Trantham, age 80, died Sunday, April 11, 2004 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

She was a native of Buncombe County and the daughter of the late Russell and Hattie Warren Morris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick J. Trantham who died in 1988.

She was a member of Beth Eden Baptist Church.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Reverend Carl Chastain officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road.
