Waynesville, Mattie Lee Comans, age 79, of 159 Hendrix Street, died on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Philadelphia, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Randall and Angie Franklin Dunn. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Hill Comans; one daughter, Peggy Mauldin; five sisters; and four brothers. Mattie was a homemaker and a member of Landmark Apostolic Church in Waynesville. She is survived by two sons, Donnie Comans and wife, Opal Marie, of Pearl, MS and Ronnie Comans and wife, Cheryl, of Bogalusa, LA; five daughters, Angie Curphey and husband, Dave, Cindy May and husband, Guy, both of the Bethel Community, Chris Spell and husband, Sterling, of Covington, LA, Carolyn Holland and companion, Micky Jaynes, and Alisha Comans, both of Waynesville; two sisters, Margaret Jones and Sue Glisson, both of Jackson, MS; 19 grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at New Life Pentecostal Church in Bogalusa, LA with Pastor Terry Reep and Brother Wesley Quave officiating. Burial will follow at Ponemah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home.
