Mattie Gaddy

Mattie West Gaddy, age 79, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Bennie and Mary Sanford West. She was also preceded in death by her husband Fred Andy Gaddy, who died in 2003. She is survived by a son, Jerry Gibson of Clyde; a brother Billy West of Waynesville; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014 at Fincher's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Phillip Brooks officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
