Mattie Queen

Mattie Ruth Queen, age 88 , of Silver Bluff Nursing Home, died Saturday, May 28, 2005. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was the daughter of the late Otha Andrew and Effie Mease Queen. Miss Queen retired with 39 years of service from Champion International and was a member of Springhill Baptist Church. She is survived by two sisters, Bonnie Mae Queen and Annie Ellen Queen, both of Canton. A graveside service will be held Monday, May 30, 2005 at Long's Community Cemetery at 2:00 p.m., with the Reverends W.O. Henson and Stacey Hightower officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:30 prior to the services at Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Canton.
