Waynesville, Maxine Reagan Farmer, age 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at her home.

Raising her family was her life’s biggest accomplishment and joy. As a supportive band mom, Maxine sewed the Tuscola band’s color guard flags for many years. She was an active member of Hazelwood Baptist Church, and when she was not busy with her children and grandchildren, Maxine enjoyed gardening.
Maxine is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Jerry Farmer; two daughters, Janice Turpin, and her husband, Robert, and Joyce Golden, and her husband, Paul, all of Waynesville; sister, Bobbie Gentry of Clyde; brother, Jeff Willard Reagan of Tennessee; five grandchildren, Vanessa, Sarah, Eleanor Hope, and Claire Golden, and David Howell; and three great-grandchildren, Sophia, Adalyn, and Aliyah.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Hazelwood Baptist Church with Reverend Tim Lolley officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior at the church.
