McLain Rogers, 81, has peacefully passed away at his residence in Clyde, on Saturday, February 24, 2024. He was born in Haywood County, November 3, 1942, to the late C. Hugh Rogers and Cleo Caldwell Rogers. McLain lived a life filled with compassion, hard work, and service to his community.
He was a dedicated individual known for his career in Time Study at American Enka/BASF. McLain's commitment extended beyond his professional endeavors as he proudly served in the Army National Guard. His strong work ethic and integrity were truly admirable to all who knew him. An active member of the Clyde Central United Methodist Church and the Clyde Lions Club, McLain's kindness and generosity touched the lives of many.
He is survived by his cherished cousins: Karen Rogers Milner of Greenville, SC, Elizabeth R. McCracken, of Clyde, James McLain (Jimmy) Rogers of Clyde, Colleen R. Jacques of Bluffton, SC and Timothy Earl Rogers of Killen, AL.
A Visitation will be held on March 4, 2024 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. at Clyde Central United Methodist Church with Reverend Linda-Arlene Hoxit and Reverend Christopher Westmorland officiating. Burial will follow at Haynes Family Cemetery in Clyde.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clyde Central United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 8, Clyde, NC 28721.
McLain Rogers will be fondly remembered for his warm spirit and unwavering dedication to those around him. May he rest in peace knowing that his legacy of kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
