Melanie Plemmons

Waynesville, Melanie Hope Plemmons, age 48, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at her residence. A native of Alameda County, California, she was a prior resident of Hendersonville, NC and had resided in Haywood County for the past 10 years. She was the daughter of the late Cary McDonald. Melanie was employed by Bi-lo as a Co-Manager and was a member of Camp Branch Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, going to movies and fishing. She is survived by her mother, Vicki Steelman Brewer (Bob) of Idaho; her husband of 10 years, Cecil Plemmons; a stepdaughter, Rebecca Crawford (Scott) of Colorado; a stepson, Greg Plemmons (Dana) of Tennessee; one brother, Cary McDonald, Jr. of California; and six step-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Camp Branch Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Buford Rice officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
