Melinda Leatherwood

Canton-Melinda Dawn Leatherwood, age 28, of 58 Walnut Ridge Road, died on August 6, 2006. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Edward Leatherwood and the late Alice Dockery Leatherwood. She worked at Haywood Vocational Opportunities. In addition to her father, she is survived by a her fiancée, Jamie Anderson and a son, Dakota Anderson, both of Canton; and two sisters, Jenny Mae Adams and husband, Jay, of Hendersonville and Shannon Lea Leatherwood of Waynesville. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at Clyde Central United Methodist Church with Reverend Randall A. Tingle officiating.
