Melvin Philbrick

Melvin M. Philbrick, Jr., 73, of Asheville, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at his home. He was born in Kansas to the late Melvin and Anna Woodruff Philbrick. Melvin retired from the Air Force after 25 years and enjoyed old movies, fishing, comic strips and listening to "Coast to Coast".
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jones Philbrick; children, Mike (Sylvia) and John (Susan) Philbrick and Sandra (Scott) DeBockler; sisters, Patricia Schilling and Joan Conway; 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; cat, Lulu and dog, Violet.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00PM on Friday, April 25th in the Chapel of Faith at Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn. The family will receive friends in the Chapel for one hour prior to the service. Burial with Military Honors will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler.
