Merle Ray

Merle R. Ray, 86, of Asheville, passed away on Tuesday, April 30th, 2013. A native of Mars Hill, he was a son of the late Hix and Ollie Chambers Ray. He served in the US Army and enjoyed fishing and working on cars.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Alice Boulter Ray.
Merle is survived by his son, David Ray, and wife, Audrey; granddaughters, Shonialynn Marie Ray and Debra Denise Fisher; 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, May 6th at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler. The family will receive friends on Monday from Noon-1:00PM at Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn, Candler.
