Michael Dixon

Waynesville, Michael Wayne Dixon, age 39, died Tuesday, September 16, 2008. He was a native of Plant City, FL and had lived most of his life in Haywood County. He was the son of the late William W. Dixon. He was also preceded in death by two uncles, Butch Evans and David Dixon. Michael worked in construction and was self-employed. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sharon; his mother, Jennifer Dixon of Plant City, FL; a son, Michael Daniel Dixon; two daughters, Heidi Nicole and Tori Renee Dixon, all of Waynesville; a brother, William Randall Dixon of Atlanta, GA; two aunts, Jeannette Mayfield and Fay Butler and her husband, Ed; three uncles, Leonard Dixon and his wife, Shirley, John Dixon and his wife, Pansy and Bobby Evans and his wife, Thelma, all of Plant City, FL. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth Rhinehart officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
