Michael Jones

Michael Douglas "Frogie" Jones, age 54, of Asheville, died Saturday, July 30, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was a native of Haywood County, but had lived most of his life in Buncombe County. He was the son of the late Bobby Jones and Nelda Hall Jones. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Joe Miller. Mr. Jones was a retired United States Army Veteran. He is survived by a sister, Debra Lawrence of Spring Creek; a brother, Hugh Jones of Canton and a niece, Wendy Lawrence of Hendersonville. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at Pisgah View Memorial Park in Candler with the Reverend Tommy Moore officiating. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Buncombe County Veteran's Association. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Canton.
