Michael Messer

Canton-Michael D. Messer, age 49, of 96 Little East Fork Road, passed away at Haywood Regional Medical Center on November 22, 2005. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Jack Wayne Messer and the late Merl Rogers Messer. He loved to fish and hunt. In addition to his father, he is survived by two sons, Derek Michael Messer of Seattle, WA and Robert Samuel Messer of Canton; a half-sister, Phyllis Wheatley, of Sylva; and a brother, Gary Messer and his wife, Cathy, of Canton. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2005 at Sunburst Cemetery with Reverend Stacey Woods officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
