Michael Rathbone

"1950 – 2016" Candler – Michael Rathbone, 66, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at his residence. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Ruby Rathbone McDaniel. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dianna Newton. Michael worked for Southeastern Container for 20 years. He is survived by a son, Robert Walter Rathbone of Greenville, Tennessee; one sister, Sandra Case and husband, Richard Howard, of Candler; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, August 26, 2016 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend David Pittman officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon prior to the service at the funeral home.
