Milburn Valentine

Hendersonville - Milburn "Bud" Valentine, age 81, formerly of Canton died Saturday, June 3, 2006, at Park Ridge Hospital. He was a native of Cocke County, TN and was a member of Fairmont Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Sam and Essie Jones Valentine. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Lorene Bennett Valentine, who died in 2003; two stepdaughters, Anna Belle Bennett and Loretta B. Ashe, and two stepsons, E.J. Bennett and Eugene Bennett. He is survived by five daughters, Blanch Turner of Winter Springs, FL, Ida Williams and Vella O'Neal, both of Canton, Ruth Burleson of Hendersonville and Glenna Hodge of Candler; 25 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at Pisgah View Memorial Park with the Reverend Roy Burleson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
