Mildred Crawford

Clyde-Mildred "Midge" Price Crawford, age 78, of Grace Lane, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Norvel and Mary Miller Price. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William S. Crawford, who died in 1988; a sister, Clara Hunter and Hazel Marcus; and three brothers, Cordell, Joe, and Bud Price. She was a seamstress at Welco and retired after 25 years employment. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Carol Smith, of Clyde and Teresa Fugate and her husband, Jerry, of Waynesville; two sisters, Vera Crawford and French Blanton, both of Waynesville; three grandchildren, Samuel Del Hannah, Jeremiah David Fugate, and Laura Fugate Edwards and her husband, Michael; and one great grandchild, James Coleman Edwards. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Antioch Baptist Church with Reverend Steve Taylor and Reverend G.W. Jameson officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at the church. Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Muse, Terry Noland, Buster and David Price, Charles Wood, Kevin Morrow, and Mike Ledford. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Hunter and Thad Crawford.
