Mildred Garrett

Raleigh, Mildred Garrison Garrett, age 93, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022.

A native of Sidney, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Aaron and Delma Snider Garrison.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Garrison.  Mildred volunteered at Rex Hospital for many years.  She was a longtime member of Capital City Church of Christ which has become part of Lifepointe Church in Cary.  She enjoyed raising her three sons and supporting their families, including being active in High School Band and Athletic Boosters.

Mildred is survived by her husband of 71 years, John J. Garrett; three sons, J. Keenan Garrett, of Athens, Ohio, Tim Garrett, and his wife Lynne, of Waynesville and Randall Garrett, and his wife, Ami, of Tega Cay, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Amanda Nowell, Timothy M. Garrett, Tyler Garrett and Jessica Morris; and eight great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Lifepointe Church in Cary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lifepointe Church, 590 Westhigh Street, Cary, North Carolina 27513.

The care of Mrs. Garrett has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
