Canton - Mildred Medlin Gregory, 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 14, 2018.

Mildred was born on June 19, 1924 in Stephens County, GA to Eulaila Pierce Medlin and Grover Medlin. She married Charles B. Gregory of Canton, in 1953 Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Burton Gregory, who passed away in 1991, and her brothers, Joe Bill, Henry, and Charles Medlin. She was a former employee of Hudson's Department Store and of the Champion Company Store. Mildred was a dedicated family woman who loved cooking, sewing, couponing and spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. She was a dedicated member of Calvary Baptist Church of Canton.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Mary Nancy Gregory Edwards of Canton and grandchildren, Charles Jason Edwards and his wife (Roberta) and Jennifer Edwards Newcomb and her husband (Mathew), her great-grandchildren, Avery Garrison, Addyson and Ashtynn Newcomb, Caleb Coffman, Samuel Edwards and Noah and Hannah Brunck as well as her brothers, Bobby Gene Medlin and his wife (JoAnn) and Winfred Medlin.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Matt Pruett officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mildred's life.
