Mildred Mcmahan

Waynesville-Mildred Radford McMahan, age 79, formerly of Church Street, died Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Buncombe County she was the daughter of Noah and Stella Tallent Radford. She is also preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" McMahan who died in 1996, two brothers, Naman and Woodrow Radford. Mildred was a life long resident of Haywood County and a member of First Baptist Church of Maggie Valley. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She is survived by a son, Gerald McMahan and his wife, Alline of Waynesville, a brother, Carroll Radford and his wife, Margie of Candler, NC; two grandchildren, Billy Bruce McMahan and Heather Muri and one great-grandchild, Isaac William Muri. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2007 in the chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville with Reverend Ricky Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday. Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Bruce McMahan, Richard Snyder, Ed Morgan, Clinton Trantham, Allen Cagle and Tim Bolin. Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Waynesville is in charge of arrangements. For those who desire, an on-line memorial register is available at "Obituaries" at "www.wellsfuneralhome.com"
