Minda Price

Clyde-Minda McElrath Price, age 83, died Thursday, September 11, 2003 at her residence.

A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Hattie Ledford McElrath. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Davis Price, who died in 1984 and two brothers, Wilson and Ammons McElrath. She was a member of Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Helen Clampett, and her husband Bobby of Waynesville and Hazel Taylor and her husband, Robert, of Clyde; three sisters, Eva Arrington of Waynesville, and Estalee Teague and Leona Rathbone, both of Clyde; a brother, Jeter McElrath, of Clyde; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, 2003 at Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church with the Reverend Jimmy Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2003 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville, and at other times, the family will be at the residence. Pallbearers will be Steve Donaldson, Michael Kirkpatrick, Joe Price, Clifford Mills, David Heatherly, and Jake Teague. Honorary pallbearers will be great grandsons and nephews.
