Minnie Crane

Minnie Faye Capps Crane, age 80, died Monday, January 12, 2009, at Gaston Memorial Hospital. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Grady and Callie Laws Crane. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Crane. She was employed with American Enka. Minnie was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, the NRA, and the Audubon Society. She was a loving mother. She is survived by two sons, Cary Crane and his wife, Diane, and Ronnie Miller and his wife, Doris; three daughters, Audrey Crane Harris, Jean Ann Crane Gibson and her husband, Wayne, and Freida Mae Crane; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Roy Kilby officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
