Myrtice Leatherwood

Waynesville-Myrtice Loraine Collins Leatherwood, age 87, died on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Montgomery Jackson's Hospital. A native of Grady County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Annie L. Trulock Collins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Leatherwood, who died in 1996. She is survived by a daughter, Diane Buckner and her husband, Frank, of Montgomery, AL; a son, Dave Leatherwood and his wife, Ann, of Fishersville, VA; one sister, Pauline Ferrell and her husband, J.B., of Cairo, GA; one brother, Mark Collins and his wife, Frances, of Thomasville, GA; and four grandchildren, Rebecca and Richard Leatherwood, Melissa Reynolds and her husband, Justin, and Christina Buckner. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 9, 2007 at Long's Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Alan Mears and Reverend Frank Buckner officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
